WR Summit 2006:
Unified Collaboration and IP Communications

The Wainhouse Research Summit has become the industry's premiere networking event, with conferencing professionals, integrators, and vendors interacting over plans, successes, difficulties, and future intentions in voice, video, and web/data collaboration products and services. The previous events were sellouts, and space is limited again this year, so plan ahead, and book early. Hotel rooms will definitely sell out. (Bring family and spend a weekend in one of North America's premiere cities of historical and cultural significance.)

This year's theme, Unified Collaboration and IP Communications, will bring together users and vendors in frank presentations and panel discussions about what works and what doesn't, how audio and video and web conferencing are evolving, where unified collaborative communications are heading, and the future role of service providers.

The WR Summit 2006 will begin with presentations by WR analysts on the state of the industry and then follow with perspectives from end users deploying IP communication solutions of all types. The Summit will also feature interactive panel discussions with vendors and end users that will explore methods that have worked to drive adoption and creative steps that have made some end user companies very successful.

Of particular interest this year will be the impact of Cisco, Microsoft, and other major enterprise vendors driving data conferencing and video to the desktop, integrated with voice in a variety of ways. These developments are forcing vendor partnerships, competition, and service offerings to mutate in ways that affect all end users' collaboration strategies. Presentations from end users and select vendors will help the attendee understand the range of options available and the implications.
